New Kid on the Block

Post by OW-01 »

Just dropped this YZF750 off at the shop to bring it back to life. I haven't seen it yet in person, but can't wait to take her out on the track when I get back. It's the Superbike model Yamamonster, only real difference is it has a factory 750 superbike engine in it in lieu of a modified FZR1000 mill.

That's pretty sweet, I can't imagine those tires have much more stick in them anymore than the concrete they're sitting on! Is that ohlins up front or is it Lindemann both ends?

Yamamonster

Ya, the Slicks are over a decade old, they will be promply moved to the garbage bin. The front is an ohlins SBK fork with a Fox rear, both setup by Lindemann.

Gotta get the new siding up on the house.
Fixing the FZ1 up, cleaning up garage and then I might even begin

Hey Jason,

That's a sweet ride with racing history! Nice score! Gotta also love the later SP chassis with bolt-on sub frame and adjustable swingarm pivot on your Yamamonster. :)

Cheers,

Julian

Superbike

Post by OW-01 »

With one of the OW01's now complete, it's time to focus on getting the Dutchman Superbike back to fighting form.

Parts on order and will fire it up next week, Will be the first time the engine has been cranked over since Daytona 99. As long as the engine is healthy after 200 miles on the oval it should be ready for the track by Halloween.
