Crash Bungs
Hey Ton Up!

Yeah, those bits of plastic are crash bungs\mushrooms.
I bought them from Busters Motorcycle Accessories
<a href="http://www.busters-online.co.uk/Busters ... and they cost me about £20 as I remember.
I doubt they would be of much use in the event of a high speed tumble as the fitting bolts are far to insubstantial to withstand and serious impact but for low\no speed falls they work just fine.
I rolled off my EXUP in a petrol station last year after forgetting to put my side stand down (what a total berk!!!) and they stopped the plastics getting scuffed rather well. Possibly the most humiliating and least painful crash in history. The only thing that was damaged was my ego. The motorists behind me in the queue howled with laughter as I floundered on the forecourt floor in my leathers!!

Re: Crash Bungs
Now that must've been emabarrasing! I would have stood up and bowed, but then that's just me. Don't you reckon bikes are always the most dangerous at walking speed or when being pushed?

Thanks for the info on the crash bungs. Will see what I can find here.

Re: Crash Bungs
Thats a good one.

A few years ago when I was walking my bike I lost my balance and it tipped right over with me jumping over and trying not to fall. The driveway was a bit tilted. I wasn't on the drink either. I looked around and was lucky no one saw me do it!
