Thought you deserved something Dude/s...

C's Loud R1 Part 1

C's Loud R1 Part 2

Picture quality is not great, (faulty camera since replaced FOC)
but, the sound track.....music to our ears...

Apparently, the next "instalment" from Croft is in the camcorder,
and soon to be posted to me....it'll follow here shortly after...
Yours Slip.

That was beautifull Slip, I especially enjoyed the "re-anoyance" of the first lap heroes.
The second pass was priceless....... :D
An apt "finishing school of riding" lesson there.

Hi ExupElvis,
and many thanks.
Can we say that this is the birth of a new motorcycling phrase..
Namely "out lap heroes"
A derogatory term of course...well dealt with by C, may I say.
Yours Slip.

Just an up-date on what's happening on my R1 for 07.
Just got back from Maxton a nice new rear race shock with extra ride height of 15mm and the front forks which have been re-springed and re-valved. Replaced front & rear bearings while suspension was out.
Also picked up a front pr of bringer race discs so she should stop a bit better now. On the rear a cheap wavy discs (just for looks)
Have taken of rev counter (cos i don't use it anyway) and had the down pipes laged for a bit more heat.
A new filler cap (one with out a key)
And finally so i can get my lap times spot on a on board lap-timer.
Thing's that go fast and crash

Hi All,
C, I doubt there is any need of luck, or Image to get below 1.30s.
Sub 1.25s may take 2 sets of tyres a day though. - I think you'll get there.
Sub 1.25s seemed Image when we started at over 2.15s (well me anyways..) a few years ago.

:banana :banana :banana :banana :banana
Looking forward to the footage, and I volunteer to edit it.

Awesome vid gents.
I'd personaly like to see footage through the windscreen. From under the fairing, while pretty cool is one I'm not used to.

I have been trying to put my camera on the screen but it's just not happening.
I have very little places to put it with out making brackets (which i don't want)
I'm going to have a play this year with it to see what other angle's we can get, Maybe backwoods

Hi All,
re - mounting brackets see this video,
The Pass of the Cattle..."bracket" on that occasion was a bit of toweling and some gaffer tape on top of helmet.
(First real ride after Oulton Park incident as well..)

Given a longer lead, and an accepted slight loss of quality, would the
"preffered" view be a similar helmet cam view,
a real rider's eye view as such, so we can see where we should of been looking..

I know C is not particularly keen on this line of thought,
so I thought I'd ask you lot here to express an opinion as well.
Rider obviously having the last say of course..

The Pass of the Cattle..." Nice one Slip. i got to watch it again it's brill.

I know it would be really good to have it on my helmet but i don't want anycables going from me to bike......bike to me.

I think maybe the only way is to some how fix it to the screen via drilling 2 or 4 small holes & doing a bit of a cable-tie / duck tape fixing
(what do ya think)
The camcorder fits like a glove just behind the nose cone so the cables aren't to long and it's easy ish to turn on/of.
What i would really like it for it to be fitted in the fairing so all you see is a small hole
I'm up for ideas. "anybody"

Just a small up-date on what's been happening (that's if anybody reads this)
After spending quite a bit of money getting it sorted for this year i decided after long talks with myself (har har) to go racing again.
So i booked myself in for 5 track days to get into the swing of thing only to crash on my last day braking my collar bone which put me out of action for 7 weeks. Now fully healed i cannot wait for Oulton park on 1st Sept.
After my hi-side which was on a left hand harpin at Croft my R1 was repared in 4 day's, I just wished my collar bone healed as quick......but thats life !!!!!!!!!
