Very Nice job "Orange", I'd like to see the parts list for that conversion!
Looks like an '89 to '91 frame and fairing, did you have to cut up any of the frame for the new tail section?
I would love to see pics of that project in progress.
Straight up Geek

Hi no mods were done to the frame which is a 1990 model every thing was fabricated to fit the frame.
The swinging arm is a 97 VFR with the shock mount welded on the top of the arm this was done as the FZR shock mounts were need for the exup motor and the Ducati 916 sub frame. The exhaust system is 916 as is the tail unit and the number holder. The mirrors are VFR400 and the six pot brakes are of a later FZR the battery now sits in the tail unit and i may still change the forks for some USD.

very nice indeed! the bike looks very clean and tidy. there is a company in italy i belive called RAM that makes single sided conversions for the yzf750, but this job looks just as good.

question. is your frame painted grey or anodized? it looks awesome.

Orange - were those VFR mirrors a straight swap or did you have to modify anything for mounting purposes? Must say those mirrors look really good and wouldn't mind putting a set on mine.
Nate - 87 FZR1000

Have you seen my fairing?

The VFR swingarm seems to be the most popular. Don't know what years though.
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v209/ ...
There are some who call me........Tim?
Director of Entertainment Eddie & the Cruisers
1994 FZR 1000
