How come you're only leaving at 3K?
And you're shifting at 10K????????????
Give 7500 rpm a shot for staging and I'll bet you'll do a bit better than a 2.33 60ft.....

hey jim, i've heard so much about you. i'm still getting used to staging and slipping the clutch. there was one start when i staged at 6k and it went great, i just didnt get it on vid. my best time was when i constantly shifted at 12 this was only my second time at the 1/4, i'm used to doing track days instead.

i was using a samsung digital-cam w/ DV. 'DV-NTSC SC-D453' or something like that. and homemade mount thats reallyl steardy.

....and that was me ***424*** against stoneyhoppingonefoot in many of his outings

I was riding easy as I now know its true what they say about clutch baskets and I just went out to have fun

I did try to launch aggressively a couple times but the chatter was too much _ I think I will definitely be trying the oil mod for the basket

In the first video stonelegtwofeet put up is me zipping by him past the 1/8th mile

LOL ! weeeeeeeeeeeee! I beat a 600! dang straight

Any idea what the stock FZR will do the 1/4mile in if it is not being driven at 1/2 throttle? I know it depends a lot on the driver, but i was just curious. 12.5sec. 1/4 for a 600 seems pretty good, no?

okay for jims timeslips I really dont know which one is his on the fzr....

(bragging aside...jim is likely the only 200mph club member here)

if the fzr then the 1/8th mile mph is 8 more ahead of mine...or 6 ahead of my best ever

I wasnt at 1/2 throttle driving my 95...but had very bad launches...since the clutch was chattering

my best with a not so lousy clutch is 126mph at 11.3et

a stock fzr driven by the magazines and skinny bastards is something like 131mph at 10.7et

for the record...I am not a skinny bastard

lol

for stonehoooper's yzf600r a 12.5 is decent

but for a modern day 600....its not even close

recent 600's are able to get deep into the 11's with a good rider

last year I rode my friends zx6r to a 11.8 at 118mph and that was a 2000 model

Wow, Jim that must be the Pro-Mod I assume, 165 in the 1/8th. The 60ft seems a bit off though, I figured that'd be in the mid 1.0's

Yea that's the proMod. Soft clutch and soft air makes it slower, it'll run 1.17's/1.19's

I heard an R6 ran into the 9's last year bone stock...They lowered it and straped the fork. Don't remember who did it but it was for the mags. Might have been Lee Scherts...
