Gatecrasha's latest streetfighter

Post by gatecrasha »

ok,
those of you that know me already - will know i have a thing for the fzr's
;)

so here's my latest project,

as brought from ebay - requiring work:-
Image

the bike was the given a small make over, into its 'straightliners' phaze:-
as seen at the straightliners/streetfighters event @santa pod

rear end lowered useing the exup's longer dog bones (- 4")
front end dropped through yolks / triples
Image

regularly ran 11.5's @120ish - all times recorded with a severly slipping clutch
(actually ate a brand new E.B.C kevlar clutch in a single meet)
problem since fixed

from here the fun began:-
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

**NOTE**
transformation from black & white dragbike to full on fighter,
including paintwork / polishing / re-style etc etc to full uk m.o.t. standards and above = TOTAL BUILD TIME OF JUST 3 WEEKS

rear end replaced for R1 5jj 2000,
front end updated with
1 - acewell digi clocks,
2 - one off headlights,
3 - remote start alarm- with full microwave and pager facilities,

4 - frame holes - concealed useing 'custom p.c. fan guards'
(these can be inter-changed so i can change the design in 5 minutes)
etc etc etc, - you saw this here first folks

5 - 1950's manual pump chrome fire extinguisher used for coolant header tank

6 -suzuki bandit 1200 twin horn kit,

7 - J.M.C deep braced swingarm with concentic adjusters
(raise ride height as well as alter chain tension)

(has now recorded 181 mph in a flyer - with freshly calibrated clocks)

and at a recent fzr1000.co.uk meet,

polishing - by owner,
design and extra's - by owner
paintwork - by owner,
everything - by owner

paint is a flip - which flips through 4 seperate colours,
and 2 textures,
(top view of the front guard shows patina effect =
pics at bottom show it glittery)

wanna know how well that paint flips ???

scroll back up and concentrate just on the front mudguard

mods still not completed yet,

fzr400 rad = cheers bucko for the inspiration
nitrous = oh yeah she's gonna rock
and into the future - turbo,
frame swap - to the polished one i have

**BREAKING NEWS**
this one is booked for feature in 'streetfighters magazine - (uk)'

Awesome lookin' streetfighter dude!! The bottom pics it looks almost like a 'camo' paint job on that first photo. It looks "bitchin",,, well done.

Especially like the R1 tail retrofit. :D

Oh damn!!! I'm in love with that R1.
I guess I am kinda partial to that paint scheme.

Awesome bike. That better be a keeper.

easy to spend that sort of cash on a bike,
afterall - were not talking about just anyone here,
harris are world reknown,

the main part of the bike is, as yet not known wheter it is the original 'Harris' one,
and i can only quote figures that harris themselves have said was spent on the project,
