92 FZR 1040 w/ 41mm flatslides and Marchesini rims
Here is our 92 FZR 1040
It has Marchesini rims (period correct), Kehin 41mm Flatslides, Carrilo rods, EBC Pro-lite front discs, Galfer steel lines up front, titainium bolt kit for fairing and engine, Yoshi carbon full exhaust, comp valve job, billet clutch plates, auto cyl head springs for clutch springs, 35K miles, Org. unrepaired (not broken) plastics. We even have the dyno sheet and build sheet with it. It was dynoed on the second pull at 149.3rwhp! It was rewired and modified to be a lot lighter! Feels in weight similar to my old 00' ZX9R. This old school rocket will suprise a lot of these new kids on the block!

The grips are of dice and an arrow I think, I didn't like them so I bought some plain black gel ones. I love the screen too. That's one of the things that draws you to the bike. Not red, nor translucent red-but candy red and not worrys of chipping. It has a flat black over the red to protect it and make it pop more. That pic is when we first got it-it's actually realy dirty there. I'll post more pics of the sic carb set-up, the side, wheels, and exhaust. I love yosh pipes, as far as the sound, well-I had a buddy drive it home for me and it sounds really loud when you get on it, but not too bad just crusing. You can hear the cams (OWO1) lope nicely when idling. It is taken apart in my garage now for a thorough cleanup, but I'll post the pics up tomorrow. I'm going to call the original owner tonight to see what other facts I don't know about her.

I don't know if yosh made a full system for this bike. I'm guessing it's custom because the 4-into-1 pipe hangs down under the fairing about two full inches, and the weld right infront of the muffler?
Man, that bike has some really trick parts on it. It even has gold anodized clutch cover bolts. :cool
I'm not sure if Yosh made a full exhaust for our bikes or not. It could be a full system for a Thunderace though, as I just fit a full stock Thunderace exup header pipe and Yosh slipon system to my FZR. See pics here: http://exupbrotherhood1.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=7627

Thanks for all the kind words! I priced the carbs at $1800, the wheels had to be around $1000 (finaly tracked down the first owner-they were bought in 1995), so $3400 was a great deal! It screams like a raped ape!
But back on to the fitment of carbs-I noticed on the underside of the tank, there is som massaged dents on both sides on the tank where the edge of the carbs are. It seems they were needed for fitment? The original owner said that there was a pressurized custom airbox there at one time he made, and that may be the reason the "massaged" the underbelly of the tank. I'll try to post a picture of it tomorrow.
He also said the cams (OWO1) he put in it were orginaly $800, and were only available from Vance and Hines. So this was a great buy! They apparent got them from Yamaha and sold a few that they weren't supposed too, and got in trouble for selling the cams. These cams weren't avail to the gereral public he said. (all hear-say from the original owner/builder though he seems credible).
