I know many will think I suck for saying it, but I bought a crappy little scooter with a 180cc in it. I absolutely love that thing and I think I'll keep it and fix it up. With the gas being what it is, it's not bad at all paying a 1/4 of what everyone else is paying to travel 100km or 60miles.
Not to mention all the easy lane splitting I can do with it.

California and most of the US does have canada beat for the most part, But B.C., thanks to the example of california, is about to introduce a carbon tax which will take effect by the end of the summer... Forecasts see gas reaching over $2 a litre... How does that compare???

I'm gonna have to get alot of riding in this summer as i won't be able to afford to run the bike like i usually do next year it seems

1 U.S. gallon equals approx 3.8 liters. Gas here in Arizona is about $3.45 a gallon for unleaded (87 octane). Which makes it about $3.55 for 89 octane and $3.65 for premium 91 octane.

Anyway, that's 3.8 x $2.00 a litre or $7.60 for a gal (about twice what we are paying for gas)

Nice little bike. What exactly is that line/hose that runs from the tank towards the bars?

I suppose we pay a price for higher octane $4.19/U.S. Gallon or $2.14/Litre

Gas in Edmonton right now John is, $1.34/L of 91 Octane with 87octane at $1.24/L which equals $5.07/US gallon for 91Octane if I've done my math correct. Yes, litre bikes are taking quite a beating at the pumps as well, especially with the carbs having a whack of worn out O-rings and perpetually always wanting to run rich despite always working on them. I managed to get my mileage back to where it should be and then two tanks later it was right back in the shitter. So, although, I say it was a blown clutch that has lead to this state.

It also has something to do with acquiring a whole bunch of trick bits and switching over to FI.

The gas prices I'll never understand as we make the crap here in Alberta and then ship it elsewhere to where they sell it for cheaper, go figure. Personally though, I'm done complaining about gas prices due to what the brits pay and for the fact that there's no use in enraging myself over some greedy SOB who wanted to live high on the hog for a few years, as he's likely going to hell one day for eternity.

My god I didnt know how good we have it over here in Australia.
91 over here is the lowest rating we have & it goes up to Shell V racing 100.
91 is the cheapest rubbish here.
95 & 98 are the most common of the better range here. With Shell V 100 the best.

We are now paying $1.65 a ltr for the rubbish :hissy
So $3.91 a gallon is less well less than a $1 a ltr.
You guys have got it good. :banana

100!! Wow, I only wish I could get my hands on that stuff. Apparently there is some unknown station which sells 93 but..... So unless you've got pilots licence or buy racing fuel that's it for us.

I've sold quite a few of my bits already and still have a few more for sale in a thread I've put up quite some time ago. Rest assured when I'm completely done, everything unused will go up here first and then hit eBay if it doesn't sell. Right now I'm in no hurry to sell as it really would be good to have a point of reference around but hey, if someone needs it bad, I can forgoe my reference.

What baffels me the most is my corbin seat and FP Ti Jet kit, which I thought I'd have battles over are still sitting here. I saw an even crappier corbin on eBay sell for $202 a while back and I've always been firm on $175(not like I'm asking to much) especially when I bought for $50 more a few months before deciding to sell it.(only because I'm grafting on a new bum) It's funny eh, just like a garage sale, the stuff you figure'll be gone in no time is still sitting there collecting dust and the stuff you think'll be hanging around until you throw it out goes the first day. Friggen Weird.
