New Owner - '97 YZF1000

Post by 97YZF1000 »

Finally got another one of these bikes. It's been over 10 years! Anyway here is the one crappy picture I took today when I started it up. Needs a good detailing job, but it will have to wait until the Spring as Winter has arrived here in the Northeast and working in an unheated garage is not my idea of fun.

Ironically it was another '97 YZF1000 that I had bought brand new, but didn't keep for long. Before that I had a '92 FZR 1000 and my first bike was an '88 FZR 1000. As you can see I am fond of EXUPs :)

How 'bout a few more pictures?
Nice ride, BTW!
Is that a carbon fiber chain guard?

Thanks for the compliment. Unfortunately I really don't think I got any other good pictures, but I'll check later.

Yea that's a carbon fiber chain guard/rear hugger. Came with the bike :)

Thanks for all the compliments guys. Bike has almost new Michelin Pilot HPX tires and only 9647 miles. Can't wait for the Spring to get here so that I can ride :)

I would agree with everyone about the bike. Hopefully spring will get here soon. Man I miss the east coast.
