YZF 750 SP

Post by davemfox2 »

Here's some pics of my 'new to me' 1993 YZF 750 SP. She's got a micron can on and on the dyno produced a healthy 113 bhp.

WOO-HOO!!! CONGRATS DAVE!! Welcome to the SP club. :banana

Your new ride looks BEAUTIFUL and I see that it came with a couple SWEET extras: proper Ohlins Type 46HRCLS shock and what looks to be a Brembo forged radial pump front brake!! EXCELLENT!

Very healthy motor at 113 rear wheel HP. :)

So the question is now: what other plans do you have for it? Race rep paint? Some KIT Parts?

AAHHH.......let the fun begin!!! I'm VERY EXCITED for you!!

Thanks for your comments :banana

Julian - good spot there it certainly does have those extras. Am not sure what I'm going to do next, but I will be having a rummage around my mate's garage as he has a lot of interesting kit ;)

Lane - yes it does have a manual choke as it is running on 39mm flatslide carbs

Hey Dave,

How bout some nice Brembo rotors to match the radial pump master cylinder? That would look the business!! :)

Yeah might do that. One of my mates used to race these in UK/European endurance back in the day so I'm going to be picking his brains on what actually works

That looks like a very tidy bike indeed. The can seems to have been shortened somewhat. I have a micron carbon slip on as well but mine seems to be about 6" longer.

Thanks :P Yeah I believe it was shortened by one of the previous owners - it makes a nice deep growl and then when the exup valve opens it just goes nuts
