Word is the track is drained and the clean up crew has been busy to say the least. The track will be very green and all the rubber has been washed away. It looks like it will be mid 50's and damp. Time to go have fun just not at full pace. More a day to work on lines and being smooth on the brakes and throttle......
Great day at the track. Chilly at first and at the end of the day. After the instuctors came in from giving the lunch break to the corner workers, my buddy Degsy comes over to me and says" It's been discussed, your moving up to blue", (Fast Guys)
Packed up, grabbed a quick bight to eat and headed home. Just past exit 6 on 93 south where the three lane changes over to two. Maybe 100 yard after the two lane we see a couple of cars in the break down lane. I'm about four lenth behind a van in front of me that starts to crowd the left lane and see a big wet spot in the road as he goes around it. I start to crowd the car to my left having a bad feeling, the van either hits or went over the deer that is now sliding across the highway. I crowd the poor bastard to my left as much as I can and run over the front end of the deer with the truck and trailer. As all this is happeening my phone rings and its Degsy calling me to warn of something happening as he is about 30 seconds ahead. Pull over for a quick check and see no visable damage and tell Degs we are pulling of at the next exit to get a better look. Nothing that we can see wrong other than chunks of meat and gut down the under side of the truck and along side of the trailer and bike. So ends my fun filled day.
