Just got an Email of Bill the guy that bought Stans FZR of me. He said it should be good to go at Wakefield round 2 of the PCRA champs.
How goods that! another frikken FZR1000 to blast everyone on the straights.. Bill races a 600 so the 1000 is gonna be a shock Id say. Either way he is gonna have some fun
Steve..

No Bill is a real racer, this will be his first PCRA meeting. He is getting into pre modern because the 600 supersport class is so expencive..
Control tyres that you have to buy from the supplyer at the track & at whatever price he wants to charge. Thats sort of thing.
So he spoke to me about the Peter Jackson bike but Mike had already got it, so I offered him Martins FZR & gave hime all the setup data I had gathered over the 2 years I had the PJ bike, & away he went..
I think if he can come to grips with the FZR after the new 600 he's been racing he could be a dark horse..

Why do I do this to myself???? Another bloody FZR to worry me.. :hissy

So you mean there are no real racers in PCRA.

Is it Pre Modern or New Era? Maybe I'm getting confused, I thought Stan's bike was an FZR750? I'd heard it was here in Melbourne??

Finally getting my FZR out on a track, May 30th ride day at Broadford. Racing the VFR and the 400 at PI May 22-23.

Look forward to your Wakefield Race report Steve, with a big improvement in pace !! (no pressure...)

i raced an 88' FZR 750 which i beleive is still in Melbourne somewhere, but the bike sbutler is refering to is my old 91' road bike which Steve brought off me, but has since onsold and has been transformed by Bill into a race bike

It will be interesting to see what he does with it Steve.

P.S. 3 more sleeps 'till race weekend. Bad news is I have a tendonitis problem with my shoulder which has flared up over the last couple of days. Fingers crossed it doesn't get any worse or there will be no riding for me. Last time it got real bad and I had to get cortisone injections to calm it down

I've entered 2 bikes in 2 classes and have 10 races on the card!!

No no , what I ment was he races in the main game, not club racing.
I know there are some of the guys that race with us that do the same, & do PCRA [club] racing too.

Yes, some sort :)

I will very much be taking it as it comes. I entered tht Ducati just to be able to get some more track time. I reserve the right not to actually make it to all of the grids :)

The most I did was 8 races over a weekend and that was enough, plus the 3 warm ups and 3 qualifying sessions. Knackered. Value for money though!!

With any luck you'll have a decent gap between heats??
