Shit Hotcam, i remember thst day like it was yesterday, not only did Gobert go on to a double, he later ran into the back of my ute as i was leaving the track!!!
I watched that 1st race from Honda corner, and the Yamaha of Edwards was just DY-NO-MITE over the last 4 to 500 meters of the front straight, man it was just sooo much faster than everything else. I remember talking to my mate Basett (re Spooks FZ 750) about how good this kid Edwards was. As an Aussie we claimed him straight away as he has an Aussie dad
