***Spoiler*** Moto2 - bad event

Post by hotcam »

With sadness I must let you all know of the death of popular 19 year old rider Shoya Tomizawa due to a crash in the Moto2 race today.
Shoya was racing closely with deAngelis and Redding when he fell in
front and was unavoidably struck by both following bikes.
He was taken to hospital and was pronounced dead during the later
MotoGP race.
Thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Our mistress is a hard task master and a mistake can be costly to each of us, I've had the 'pleasure' of dying twice due to a bike crash, but I was lucky..., I still ride hard and accept the risks, I guess it's all a part of living our lives to the full untill we take our last breath.

Tuned in during the last laps of MotoGP and saw the flags half-mast and thought WTF? Then an explanation of the news-reader and a very short interview with Rossi explained everything. It's an occupational hazard, but that doesn't make it suck any less.
Sad day.
