Dropped off frame, white power forks and shock, marvic wheels and brembo brakes to fabricator yesterday. :)

I only have a bit less than 3 months to build it so hopefully will be showing some progress through January :)

I got it from Sharkskinz direct. $740US plus $450 for shipping (ouch). Then had a problem with customs and had to pay a clearing agent to get them out :(

Very happy with the quality and design though. Much better than set I got from Melbourne a while back. Also with this style you can not use a standard screen. Had to order a special made for this glass by Zero Gravity in US...still waiting for that.

that seals it. i have been going back and forth with different bodywork manufacturers here in the states for the past few months and these pics of the sharkskinz stuff just tilted the tables in their favor.

thanks for posting.

those Sharkins definitely do look the business. Although for what it's worth, I think someone in Canada or US should set up a business account for shipping as $450 to ship??? That was just friggen brutal man!

Mike, do the sharkskins need to have tabs put on by owner or are they complete, complete when you buy them?

Happy New Year
Michael
Yes Yes I know, I said, I'm building a project YZF1070

Basement is done now, 850 finished and gone...
Gotta get the new siding up on the house.
Fixing the FZ1 up, cleaning up garage and then I might even begin

Should be about 6 of us Steve :) Just hope I am ready in time.

Yep, a bit stiff. Because of volume not weight. As much as that sucks, with the USD weaker against the AUS even with the shipping it wasn't that much more than the locally produced product and the quality is far superior.

They came with the quarter turn clips to hold top to bottom. No holes otherwise though there are indents in the mould for mounting holes in seat and in top of fairing.

That's pretty close to what I was quoted when I got the Airtech galss for me and duke22, and for the same reson - the volume.
We managed to get around it by having a friend of a friend of dukes include it with some cars parts being bought over from the U.S., other wise there are no other options other than to pay the $$$.

Ahhh, these are the joys of living in a southern paradise :cheers
