It'll be ineresting to know what the package is as it's rumoured that Ducati was offering 70,000 EURO, has he gone for more money, or is it a chance for final glory before he retires?

My wife and I were discussing this this morning, and no matter if your a Rossi fan or not, he's still the Elvis of MotoGP, put him on a stage and they will come :!:

Sorry Kiwi.................. Don't like ELVIS............. may even like Rossi less. Elvis couldn't sing and he DEFINITLY couldn't act. I mean shit..... he had to try and sing his lines.......

" we gotts win this race"..... didn't have the musical icons

I would doubt it is about $$$ for Rossi, it would be about re inflating an ego as big as, well, Rossi's

"ambition bigger than talent", maybe Casey got it right

And yet his estate is still making millions every year, can't say I'm a great fan either, but like Elvis, Rossi is a draw card, even if he can't perform :D

Running over your best mates head is always worth a couple of tenths...

I haven't really ever liked Rossi, and he completely lost me when his mind games causing Sete Gibernau to retire from racing, Gibernau had the qualities of a decent human being.

Come on now,

running over a guy's head while racing, I'm sure that anyone of us could be guilty of that, especially with machines in such close proximity of each other. Course, I never did see Simoncelli's final life ending race but......

That was a bloody gutsy ride by Stoner today, and the reason he's a twice world champion - he doesn't give up.

I don't consider retiring, giving up. Getting out when the getting is good and have $ in the bank? Why not? Now has time for his family that he didn't have growing up.

Absolutely... but all of his whining about how poorly done by he is-has been, and how shit the sport is counters all of that. I wish I had all he didn't have while he was growing up... Hang on a minute.... what was it that he didn't have just out of interest .... Casey should sue his parents for making him ride motorcycles every day rather than going to school... :lolno:

Just got back from INDY yesterday. Not a great motorcycle spectators track but exciting either way.
Some real disappointments on crashes and people not making the grid or blowing up early in the race etc but pretty good weekend. :)

Been wanting to see MotoGP and Isle of Mann forever, friends can't seem to get their poop together, may have to go at it alone. I'm afraid I will like it in Europe too much and not want to go back to the US! :)
