That was a wild last lap. Edwards leading the whole race and then crashing out in the last turn. Hayden winning the race and now leading the championship by 42 points. Rossi riding in the back of the pack with a broken hand. It's been an interesting season so far.

F*ck hayden

he screwed edwards on a couple of passes -

look again and see colins passes nice and clean unlike haydens passes on edwards

hayden cut'm short and squeezed him out

haydens a dirty bastard and I hope edwards gives it back to him ....maybe just a kick into the wall would suffice

that'd make me happy

edwrads deserved the win....he had the race all the way - all the way nice and smooth

COLIN EDWARDS: A CHANCE FOR REVENGE

Post by djalbin »

COLIN EDWARDS: A CHANCE FOR REVENGE
The British Grand Prix can’t come soon enough for Colin Edwards, who heads to another of his favourite tracks looking to bury his Assen nightmare with that elusive first MotoGP win. The amiable American refuses to dwell on the final corner calamity that denied him a visit to the top step of the podium in Holland as he looks on the positive side of a weekend that should provide the platform to another bid for the winners’ champagne in England.

“I can’t deny that I’m still disappointed after what happened at Assen, but now I have to put that behind me and focus on Donington, which is one of my best tracks and a place I have always gone well,” says Edwards. “I have to forget about what happened at the end of the race in Assen and focus on the fact that my bike worked perfectly all weekend, I was consistently fast and I was able to do a really great race up to the last chicane.

“Now we have to hope that the situation is the same at Donington because my aim is to go out there and get my revenge!

Colins said he messed up when he crashed trying to take a defensive line:

"I got past him and then tried to keep a really defensive line out of the final corner -- I had no idea Nicky had run onto the gravel otherwise I wouldn't have needed to do it.

Unfortunately, I ran it a bit too tight onto the grass and the rear just spun up as I opened the throttle and it threw me off. I'm gutted but fair play to Nicky, it was a great race."

That wa how I saw it as well...Edwards just blew the last corner trying to protect his line. Hayden wasn't anywhere near him.
Great last lap.

Great race & last lap !

Post by garrygatebc »

This was one of the better Moto GP race's I've seen.
To bad the TV coverage pretty much missed the big last corner action.
I think these pictures from the sperbikeplanet.com web site cover the action at it's best !
Can't wait for the Laguna Seac Moto GP event !
Go Nicky !!

What a BARN BURNER of a finish today at the German Moto GP...
My buddy, ol Nicky H made the podium AND kept the point's lead.
Go USA !
To bad about Tomato, is it Tamada... being crashed out by old KR JR.
At least Kenny Junior owned up to his mistake!
On http://www.superbikeplanet.com/ I got a laugh from Tomada’s press release quote
“When I was lying in the dirt Kenny asked me if it was a big problem or a small problem – in not very good Japanese. I couldn’t help laughing.” How about that for a tough Japanese rider with some real ball’s ?!? I will be in the Cork Screw, as well as the fence in Turn 10 ( the old # turn 8 as I’ve been going to Laguna for so many decade's... ) all day Friday and Saturday, wearing my Red, White & Blue EBC BRAKES shirt, and in the Turn four bleacher’s, in front of the big Diamond Screen, on Sunday, at the US Moto GP, so if ANY of you all EXUP riders are at Laguna, stick a leg out, trip me, and then say "HI!"
