After MUCH delay, the bike finally got painted today. Couldn't make it over to the shop today to take a look at it, but I should finally be up and running by next weekend. Still has to clear it on Monday, then buff & wax on Tuesday. Then I have to put her all back together.<br><br>It hasn't been the best of situations. My dad finally told him he had to start this week or I was going to take it elsewhere to get it done. The guy does great work and yeah I'm getting a good deal. I didn't want to get in the middle of it since my dad works there so it's been extremely frustrating. But after almost a month of hearing "yeah I'll get to it by the end of the week" what was I supposed to do? Originally he said it wouldn't be a problem to have it done by May 1st and here it's almost June! I'm on the same road as you orionburn! i did a deal with a car body company and four months later i've only got half the panels back, just waiting for the two large lower panels to come back. Trouble is i would have cut my losses and took them elsewhere but the company is one of my most important contracts. At least i'm back on the road now and a freind of mine said today "you know what would look good on it now.......a belly pan" and you know...... i think he's right! loose the lower fairing, just add a belly pan. My '88 aren't cleared over! If the stickers are of high quality, they won't need to be cleared over. If they are thin and of low quality, clear over them!
