Re: entering photo island
ahh. got it. thanks. impressive figures.

What else did you do to it. besides the 1040 kit?. I understud that your engine blow up? how much did the whole thing cost and where did you order the parts to it.
Im having a slight problem figuring out the best place to buy parts, as the prices in finland are quite expensive, and im almost bound to do at least re-honing and new rings to mine. (oilconsumption 1litre/600km)... its been that way for 4years, but im getting tired to add, especially on longer trips.

Re: entering photo island
cterror- your oil consumption problem might be due to bad valve seals. You might want to just change those first before tearing it down. Your head is two piece, so you don't need to remove it.

Re: entering photo island
thanks flying.

im kinda hoping it would only be the valveseeds. ill have a look (or rather have someone to take a look) to it before tearing the whole engine apart.

1125
Well, You got me on what BIKERBOYZ is saying, 1125, huh, and who makes that? Here on planet Earth we rely on hard #'s, not what the Klingons told us their FZR1000 bird of prey would do the 1/4 planet in.

On to the serious answers, valve guide seals are notorious on that engine for springing leaks, it's usually the culprit. The reason why so many people go big bore, is that while the head is off getting fixed, the pistons are right there, why not go for it since her skirts already up and she's reering to go. Winter is coming and shop rates are dropping.
CHUCK D.

The gloves are off
All right you, illeterate, ill-knowledged nincompoop. I don't have time deal w/ your sorry ass, but I will. I began my career working w/ the FZR family in early the late 80's and have such listings on my resume that include Yamaha Factory service tech, Yamaha Corp dealer relation dept., Parts manager @ numerous shops throughtout the USA and Canada. So why would I lie? To better myself, is there something that makes you believe that in all of my experience, I really give a rats ass about what you have to say. I respond to people that are in need of info or direction that I may be able to offer some expertise. I don't sit around and think about ways in which I need to impress someone on a web site that I have never met. You need to get a life and learn how to type, spell, or whatever is needed to alter the way in which you communicate; it's insulting to be slandered by someone of your limitation, it reminds me of arguing with a child. SO, Here's what I propose, shut up and get out, if I'm wrong in saying this, then someone correct me. Or you can choose plan B, get off your piss stained couch and grab a pic of this monster of yours, I'm dying to see it. It's guys like you who give sport bike riders bad names.

CHUCK D.
