i have just bought a fzr400rr 3tj 1989 import that i have maid into a track dat bike,the bike is ace but i have heard rumours that i can de-ristrict the bike is it possible?? the bikes rev limiter does kick in at high revs is it possible to take this of to get the full potential out of it.<br> please help julian. <p></p><i></i>

now i am not shure about this and someone who has played with 400s, please correct if i am wrong.... but first of all the restrictions do not work via the revlimiter. do not take the limiter of, it will cause you an immediate engine failure, big time. <br>the 400 does not fall in to the category of bikes typically restricted. it is common in germany to restrict bikes to 100hp as there is an significal difference in insurance costs. these bikes are typically restricted with smaller carburator intakes, or by restricting the movement of the sliders. usually they are not restricted by any "hard-to-find" methods.
