Odd electrical problem

Wonder if anyone can help?<br>I've got a '96 YZF750 with some problems with the lights.<br><br>lights set to sidelight(parking) gives instrument,tail and daytime running lights<br><br>lights set to ON and dipped beam gives dipped headlights but nothing else!<br><br>lights set to ON and main beam gives main but nothing else<br><br>pass switch works on all settings<br><br>TIA for any help<br><br>Ian<br><br> <p></p><i></i>

The only thing I would recommend is to systematically remove bulbs and/or connection points from each point - to see what effect if any it has on the symptoms. Also test each point with a ohm meter to see if something is grounding out? <p>-John</p><i></i>

I take it your losing your side lamps and instrument lamps when the headlamp is switched on. The poblem is in the switch, remove it and inspect the contacts inside, if your lucky you'll be able to repair it, if not it's a replacement job.<br><br>Rob<br> <p></p><i></i>
