Willi, been in the states since 90. Born in Melbourne, parents (from the US, dad was in Vietnam then (USMC), mom stayed with her sister to be closer to him whe he had leave) moved back to the states in 74 (then 5yrs), I moved back in 88. Moved back to WI in 90 after my fiancee died in an accident. Had no reasons at the time to stay since the rest of my immediate family (other than my aunt) is in the US.
Drive my mom nuts since I still, as she puts it, have an accent. She usually has to have me repeat what I say. For some reason I picked up on it and it stuck. Usually ends up explaining how I can be her son when I speak to people I first meet.
Rather entertaining sometimes. But the women up here go gaga over it.
But on the side note, some guy in a town about 160km north of here hit a kangaroo. This is the second roo sighted in WI in 1 yr. People buy them for pets up here. Its funny to see stories like this in the paper since hitting a white-tail deer is so common.
