Not in WI. Over 100mph is automatically loss of license for 6 months or a year.

Come on Jim, NSR is entertainment for us mods over on CF.

No Rob, they are NOT entertainment. They are FOOLS.
They do the sport no service what so ever and have a huge history of being a bunch of thieving ass hats

Not referring to their lack of riding abilities, but all the drama caused on the NSR boards. Its like being the lunchroom supervisor in junior high.

is the nsr borad part of the cycleforums.com site? i have a profile over there but don't spend much time on the board due to the amount of squids and bickering. you know, too big of a bike and too little talnet/self-control.

Just like any other large message board, ya got to weed out the idiots and ignore them.

CF puts sub-boards up for clubs that ask for them. NSR is one of them. I think its one of the more "active" ones.

Willi, been in the states since 90. Born in Melbourne, parents (from the US, dad was in Vietnam then (USMC), mom stayed with her sister to be closer to him whe he had leave) moved back to the states in 74 (then 5yrs), I moved back in 88. Moved back to WI in 90 after my fiancee died in an accident. Had no reasons at the time to stay since the rest of my immediate family (other than my aunt) is in the US.

Drive my mom nuts since I still, as she puts it, have an accent. She usually has to have me repeat what I say. For some reason I picked up on it and it stuck. Usually ends up explaining how I can be her son when I speak to people I first meet. Rather entertaining sometimes. But the women up here go gaga over it. :D

But on the side note, some guy in a town about 160km north of here hit a kangaroo. This is the second roo sighted in WI in 1 yr. People buy them for pets up here. Its funny to see stories like this in the paper since hitting a white-tail deer is so common.

Temps for this week here are ranging from -14C for a low to 0C for a high all week.

Actually I got caught in a blizzard while riding the YZF. Went from being a sunny 50F (10C for the metric crowd) to 35 (2C) and downpour. By time I got within 2 miles of teh city, it started snowing like mad, thankfully wasnt sticking to the roads sicne they were still warm enough to melt it on contact.
Passed by a sheriff parked in a bank lot doing 70-75 in a 40. I was shivering like mad sicne I've been in teh rain for 140miles. Boots were flooded, blue jeans soaked (I didnt have riding pants at the time) and even teh ballistic coat had water seeping in it and it was supposed to be waterproof. Lets say I was miserable. So I had no plans on stopping if he wanted to pull me over. He could follow me to my house and chat with me there. Took 4 hrs to stop shaking from the cold.

Getting wet

Post by Yoniboi »

:hijack

Brings back memories... Plymouth to Cleethorpes on a YPVS evening turning into night. I'd ridden down to get the ferry to Spain only to find I'd left my passport at home... something like 250 miles.:stupid

I decided to try to get home and back to the ferry (I just about had time). It was summer but I got cought in the biggest downpour on record (in something like 80 years). There wasn't a part of me that wasn't soaked and when I got home I had to go to bed.

Got the tickets changes and sailed two days later.

I've been a fair weather wus biker ever since.
