Poll for those attending the GP race at Indy this year

Post by orionburn »

I got a call this week from the rep in Indy. They're polling the groups to find out what day would be best to do the lap around the track. Unfortunately, as of right now, they are saying the only days they could do it would be on the Thursday before race weekend, or on the following Monday.

I know most of us (if not all) won't get down there until at least Friday or Saturday. I imagine some of us will stay over Sunday night and leave Monday morning, but most will want to leave early to head back home. If they did it on Monday it would be in the morning. I'm hoping that the majority of the groups will say the only days they could do the lap would be on Saturday or Sunday. I don't know if it's because of the 250s running that the track is going to be to busy or what.

For the poll choose the day that you are planning on arriving at the track. Just post a reply if you could do the lap on Monday. Let me know what you guys think and I'll call him back next week and let him know.

Bump....

I'm going to call him tomorrow and let him know the results. If anybody hasn't voted yet just pick a day you estimate to get there if you don't know for sure.

I'm not really concerned about doing a lap. It's going to be a parade with a pace car hat will keep everyone crawling along.

Ya mean you're gonna pass up the opportunity to lap the brickyard ? Heh heh ! I ain't too worried about it myself. I really don't like riding with a crowd. one goes down and we're all just dominoes.
