Yes Yes I know, I said, I'm building a project YZF1070

Basement is done now, 850 finished and gone...
Gotta get the new siding up on the house.
Fixing the FZ1 up, cleaning up garage and then I might even begin

It's back! Looks great! A very good job by Melbourne company ADA powder coating. The guy is a bike enthusiast, and knows what we want. Great adhesion and workmanship :)

Still looking for an Ohlins front, though the late R6 has a funky looking front end. The problem with this sort of project is once you start, everything has to be done

I've said it many times... It's a small world but a good one...

On the general consensus, I started looking for things made of gold (and that also cost as much)... And came across a RSV mille front. I made an offer, then on reviewing the finished auction the sellers name was somewhat familiar... Our own 'racerstation'. I pm'd and did a deal today!

Unbelievable :) Once again I've met a really great guy, who turned me a great deal. Hope all is well with the pending delivery G. Thanks again and hope to catch up in the future.

So I did, and some pic's... The rear shock tower 'is' offset btw.

Ha... They are close. I had just sat it all together for beer drinking purposes. But Pyramid bearings etc make a 35x55x15 headstock bearing that 'will' allow it to bolt up as it sits... so.... :banana

Forks are going for new seals and service today, Brembos are getting new bolts and a clean, looks like I have to make a rear brake hanger for the rear brembo, then i can get it back on its feet, after the wheels are finished. Will probably put the engine back in it today.

The big news is i just bought some TLR moulds from our countries best race glass manufacturer, so going shopping for carbon fiber today also :)

Okay forks are serviced, lots of bits are on their way. Found some new purple Yoshi rear-sets for it... Molds are in transit, wheels are stripped for paint, Brembo's won't come apart...grrrr. Engines in, rads etc hooked up, I fitted it with R dual rads when doing version 1, it also has the S oil cooler retained. Below are a couple of pic's so far. Won't be long, hope to ride it to the GP at Phillip Island. Cheers.

Purple... Not sure how well the color will show. My paint guy went nuts mixing it for me. It's kind of a candy purple if that makes any sense?
