I will be interested to see the colours in real though because
you know how monitors and cameras mess up the way colours look.
I keep looking for rearsets in gold for my FZR but everyone is fighting
over the gold ones and pushing up the price. Maybe I'll get black or silver
or something wierd and paint it. Can't wait to see how yours turns out!

If it is the purple I'm seeing...... Nice choice!!!!!!spook wrote:Purple... Not sure how well the color will show. My paint guy went nuts mixing it for me. It's kind of a candy purple if that makes any sense?
There are some who call me........Tim?

Here's a bit of a progress pictorial. Wheels have been powdered in gloss black, discs, brackets etc, in saturn black. Triples pretty much went straight in with new bearings. TL and RSV run the same size front axle so nothing other than a new spacer there. Brembo's need a skim... it's falling together! Here's a pic of it on its wheels, of the moulds (very f**king happy) and a bit of scruffy Yoshi porn.

It's the best appointed bike that I've owned to date, so bring it onhotcam wrote:mmmm *drool* looking fanTASTIC there, can't wait to see and hear it flying around corners very fast...
The photo's do it no justice btw.
Kiwi, check out these levers. I've bought a set and can tell you they are every bit as good as the $400 dollar numbers.

Thanks for the encouragement Guys
You know i haven't spent that much on the bike since new. I purchased it in 1999... Last century! Cheap as well! Wrote it and me off... I'm searching for some photos of it after the prang... man it was bent!
Bought all the R gear back then, and now all the new nice bits, (all good deals too) I did a calculation of total $$ and all up it owes me since purchase $14K So $1400 a year...lol. And still only has 13000K on the clock, so plenty of enjoyment left in it. I've been squirming a little at the recent spending, but I reckon a few sets of race glass out of those moulds and it will be covered

I had to machine the brembo's down a little to suit the TL front wheel disc spacing, so I arched up the 70 year old mill that a mate left with me after he moved into a smaller house. Stoked the boiler, blew the whistle, and away we went.
What a good old machine! Made in the USofA back in the industrial revolution. Does the job today
The last box of parts is now at the powder coaters, so closer, closer:?

A bit like FZR'sI love big old machines like that. They're so solid.

Getting closer to finished. Front 'race' sub frame has to be fabricated, race glass will have a start tomorrow, need to order a few bits but are getting to the end of it thankfully! This is an artists (photo shop) impression of the direction we are heading in. Every nut bolt and piece has been either powder coated replaced or put back in...lol (the big ones) Cheers,
