New members first pics.
I recognize some names from another forum, they may recognize this bike. Otherwise it looks like a mongrel bike getting flogged to the rest of you.

Yes Yes I know, I said, I'm building a project YZF1070
Basement is done now, 850 finished and gone...
Gotta get the new siding up on the house.
Fixing the FZ1 up, cleaning up garage and then I might even begin

Re: New members first pics.
Hmm, been a while, and nothing better to do in the long dark, so here are some pics from '11!
Ridin in the rain, full Pilot Power streets . Better than slicks I guess .
For a guy running my pace, these SuperBike Pro's from Pirelli offer the best for wear, and grip. With two sets, I'll be able to do 2 seasons including our endurance race.
"Three Old Pricks on an Old Bike" come in 5th in the EMRA 200. Only 5 laps down after 4 hours, not too shabby.

Re: New members first pics.
I responded in your other post too, but the trackday slicks like 31ft and 26rr hot, for our track conditions, Short, tight and grippy. They like cooler conditions and once the outside temp sails past 25c they can start to get "greasy". Strangely enough lowering them by 1psi will help up to 28c, and 2 are needed around 30 to keep them more planted. But that happens rarely here on a race weekend. Once a rider goes faster than a midpack or even a quicker intermediate racer (up to 1:04's) then you'll start to override these tires. They are afterall a Trackday slick. Track record is in the 58's, I'm running low 1:07's. So for us in the middle, very long life and personal bests, works just fine for me.

Thanks for the info. Out of interest, what tyres are the 'fast' guys using? Times around there are almost identical to our broadford.

The fastest guy (kid, (bastard )) is running dunlops, but is really the only one. Otherwise it's a wash between Pirelli SC slicks and Michelins. The difference in the handling is why people chose the ones they do. Trackside support for anything other than Pirelli and Michelin is non-existent, so we'll support those that support us, y'know.
