The style is mine, the picture is from the guy they have there on the day
(yes I paid for the picture, didn't nick it off the web).
Yes it was fun, and the FZR held up very well. It was certainly faster than
I could ride it on the day with my foot injury, and seemed as fast
as anything in its group.

Yes it was Phillip island, I think that was MG corner. It's the stock 1995 colours, I don't think Yamaha sold so many FZRs then because their price was very high and the Fireblade 900 was revising what we think of as sports bikes.JasonL wrote:Where was this Hotcam, PI?? I always liked that particular FZR paint scheme, did they even release that here or is it an import / imported bodywork?
Maybe all us Melbourne FZR/YZF/FZR/OW owners should get out on a forum track day together sometime???
I will be track day-ing regularly so will post when I do, if other members do too then I'm sure we will catch up.

If you hang off more you can; a)reduce lean angle and maintain the same speed, or b)increase speed and run with the same lean angle faster. Ideally your chin should be above your right wrist and beside the windshield, but that's much easier typed than done. Gettin er right over to be sure, that's faith in the tires.spook wrote: What they'll teach you at school is that they don't lean over that far

I was actually having a bit of a joke BigJon, knowing how 'that' particular photo ended up. You can see the whole series of shots in this post

Damn Spook,
OUCH! Was that a little bit of a high side there? BTW, let me know if you need any cases for that as I do have an unused set, with crank and other guts too.

Yes Yes I know, I said, I'm building a project YZF1070
Basement is done now, 850 finished and gone...
Gotta get the new siding up on the house.
Fixing the FZ1 up, cleaning up garage and then I might even begin
