Moto GP meets IoM TT

Post by stan »

Aussie TT rider Cam Donald got the opportunity of a life time when he through a leg over Caparossi's Suzuki RSV 800 to do a lap of the IoM TT circuit.

Just how special are these GP bikes, Cam Donald can punt a GSXR Superbike around the IoM at @ 130Mph Average, but check out his reaction after his lap, enjoy

Funny thing I was talking to a mate & he said the same thing to me. Dont race a current superbike because you'll never go back to racing that old GSXR. The current crop of bikes are faster & much more easy to ride. Although not a Moto GP bike But its all relivant I suppose.
So I declined a chance to have a go. I dont want to bugger the good thing I have going at the moment.
Besides that Im just to old. :hissy

Jamie Wincupp was told to accept a drive of an F1 car at his own peral. Once you drive an F1 car they told him, your V8 supercar will fell like a Commodore taxi.

Yes Yes I know, I said, I'm building a project YZF1070

Basement is done now, 850 finished and gone...
Gotta get the new siding up on the house.
Fixing the FZ1 up, cleaning up garage and then I might even begin

He said in the interview that he was slower than on his superbike, but on a 2million dollar machine who wouldn't be?

His overall lap time may have been slower, but just read that he broke the outright speed trap record for the TT @ 202 MPH (325 Kph)
