Get well soon Mike

Post by JasonL »

I was at Phillip Island on the weekend and popped in to say hello to a couple of the Queensland guys who know Mike and they relayed some bad news, Mike had come off at the coaching day and busted a few bones plus I understand possible bleeding on the brain, so he's in hospital right now and let's hope he's ok.

Oh No.... If you talk to him please tell him we said "Hi" and to get better.

If you can, update us until he can himself.

Get well soon Mike!!!

My good friend Dave Lamerrill(chasis builder, lamerrill motorcycles owner) went down last week at an exhibition event at Road Atlanta.. 7 broken ribs, punctured lung, Minor brain bleeding, broken clavicle and fractured scalpula.. he got medivacted out.. seen him yesterday an looks pretty damn good for going down at 100mph n being ran over by his bike...

I really hope you heal up okay Mike.. when I got the news my stomach dropped.. things can get hairy out there.

Cheers guys. I am still in hospital waiting for another CT scan tomorrow. Last two have shown some bleeding. Hopefully tomorrow's shows improvement.

Protecting limbs by landing on head not recommended :?

Well, glad to hear you're on the mend Mike. I had popped in to say hello to Brad Phelan, Geez his Fireblade is nice, unfortunately we had some pretty poor weather over the weekend so he couldn't let it rip.

Spoke to MikeSS this morning, and he is sounding really well despite having been to hell and back... again :)

He has had some surgery on his noggin to sort the brain bleeds, and tomorrow goes in again to have his wrist corrected surgically.

It was good to hear his voice again, and him sound as a pound, and in good spirits after such an arse kicking.

Good luck with it all Mate, and look forward to hearing from you again in person on board. Cheers :)

Yes, great to hear he's on the mend and cheery as can be. It's a hard road but sounds like he's a tough cookie.

Thanks for the kind thoughts guys.

Had my wrist plated and home again. Either they stuffed it up or I'm getting soft because it hurt like nothing else! Brain surgery was easier :)

Anyway that should be the end of operating theatres. Opiates and clinics for a while now.

Cheers :)
