Looks like the Motul stuff is more of an injection system cleaner. I use nothing but they're oil products in my bike engines though (7100) spendy but.....

Re: ZX7RR Build.

 Thanks for the history, now, where is the purple headed TLS, TLR hybrid???? Of course, I am one to talk. Finally got the garage back to a state where I can pull a wrench so I'll see pretty soon if the FZ1 isn't starting cause it's skipped a tooth or two. Been 4 or 5 years now since I've r...

Re: ZX7RR Build.

When I was looking for the FZR, it was either that or a ZX-9

I don't see any photos of an M1 Ralph?

Edmonton is finally in Phase 2 of it's relaunch. Just can't bring myself to really talk about the whole thing cause it's all we hear about.

Re: Coils

never really been a fan. I suppose it would really clean up the underneath of the tank are. For the extra added electrical wizardry required, I'm not sure it'd be worth it, to have them fire individually. I reckon I'd just leave them on the same pulses as the regular coils and follow the KISS rule.

Re: Tire recommendations for a YZF750

I always liked Michelin Pilots for the FZR and found them to be a great compromise of all conditions. Looking at their website now, it seems they've got several different versions of them, and the ones I road are years old now. The dual compound ones are awesome for sport touring as I'm also from fl...

Re: LSR ZX14R build

What about a heads up display on your visor, I get that you're trying to make yourself as slippery as possible and that keeping your head in the wind on any bike at even 100mph plus is difficult, can't imagine that that'd be like at 200mph, it was hard enough at my FZ1's 300km/hour. Isn't there enou...

Re: LSR ZX14R build

Looks cool, but I prefer old school clocks myself. I suppose the big test would be if you can see it in the sun or not, not that you're going to be looking down at your speedo at plus 200mph. Clocks certainly can't datalog and do all that other fancy shmancy stuff though.

Re: LSR ZX14R build

This creates a pretty convoluted manifold... here's an example To say the least. I'm assuming those are the two waste gates and the turbo sits on the other side of the flange with the 2 rectangular holes? Is there enough clearance from where that turbo is mounted to the back of the rad? That even l...

Re: LSR ZX14R build

I'm just waiting on a buyer for one of my kidneys. I'll say! that looks like it might cost you a left nut too.!! Hopefully you're putting an equal amount of time and effort into the slippery-ness of the rider hump. Sure would be cool to be able to get some wind tunnel time, but..... yeah I ...

Re: LSR ZX14R build

Now that would be one hilarious sight to see wouldn't it. Full slipperfied LSR machine with a buck ass naked dude on it @ 200mph +. I'm sure you've probably listed all that off once before, sorry if that was a repeat for you Ralph. @ 27 psi, as long as you make that thing slippery enough, I'll bet y...

Re: LSR ZX14R build

I imagine it will be like spool, spool, spool, spool, are we there yet? then being shot out of a cannon! I was thinking about that too, but then thought you should likely be fine as it is twin scroll and it is going on a bike that revs past 10,000rpm, more than 3000rpm past most other engines it mi...

Re: LSR ZX14R build

That Turbo is FRIGGEN HUGE!!!, that's gonna be fun spooning into that already intricate and tight pipe work to begin with. 1400CC Yes, HUGE motor, hopefully the turbo will be just fine then. Nice parts for sure Ralph, looking forward to seeing the rest :popcorn I think you made the right choice on t...
