Re: Aust Period 6 FZ 1000 buildup
thinking #1: orig 750cc + 5% max capacity increase = 787cc. doable... #2: period FZs had .. what ... 860 kits maybe? did they race a 911 IN THE PERIOD? if yes, also doable.. no, mod didn't need to be done IN 87, just IN the period, so anything up to dec 1990. even if i could prove a roadbike or drag...

Re: 89 FZR1000 race in OZ incl buildup
no mate, not yet. it's on the cards to pull it apart and clean the plates to start with. there's no slipping, so they perform well, just don't release well, that's as you say either not enough oil or dirty plates, had it before on other bikes when they have sat around for a while. Don't worry mate, ...

Re: Aust Period 6 FZ 1000 buildup
I've messaged him . the adspots are for businesses sponsoring a rider personally,or for those of self employed racers. he's obviously put a lot of effort into exup, so i am happy to give him a spot there for now ... and i will be plugging exup in the forum-links section, which i'd better start soon....

Re: Aust Period 6 FZ 1000 buildup
ahmm, no, i'm not trying to draw people away. people can have more than one site they visit, and don't need to click if they don't wish to do so. Especially on a site like exup which has no site sponsors, there seemds no conflict of interest. if i posted a link to my old blogspot blog http://www.zol...

Re: Aust Period 6 FZ 1000 buildup
Zol, why don't you post up a build thread here? I'm sure it would be of interest to many who visit. Cheers because i am trying to get riders and racers and their sponsors to compliment each other to grow our sport and increase the chances of guys like you guys getting sponsored...hence RR .. I hope...

Re: New Rear Sets for our FZR's
I would strongly recommend the extra bucks for folding pegs. I learned my lesson the hard way at the post kembla TT in 96, when the bike fitted with solid pegs hit me while i was hitting the airfence, blowing it up. lucky to be still walking. they had to shine a torch in and you could stick a pencil...
