I may be wrong, but I think there was a link posted that showed how to make your own. Seem to remember it was a whole page on mounting/balancing your own tires. Can't find it at the moment though.

I'll add a "write in" choice:

My left nut : I'm right handed, have one to spare and I'm not using either one anyway.

I think the Barber event would be awesome. There's my vote. It's only 100 extra miles for me, my route would still take me near The Dragon, and I'd love to check out the museum as well (I just hope there is a works YZF to get close to there). I'll abstain from voting because either (Barber or...

I got to play with a laptop pre-loaded with it. Wasn't impressed. It's pretty, but bloated and slow, even on a 1.6 with a gig of ram. I'll stick my good'ol Win2k

I'll likely hit the Gap (and surrounding areas) on one or both sides of the weekend as well. I've been wanting to get down there for a couple of years now and just haven't made it, no excuse when I'll be driving within a couple of miles of the place. A friend just moved to Charlotte a couple of mont...

Not to come off like an a$$, but is there really anything all that special about a WERA event (except maybe lower cost of admission)? AMA seems like it would be a much bigger event with more to see, not to mention give folks an extra two months to make plans once something is finalized. I'm prolly i...

You could go to U-Haul and rent a bike trailer and drive down. I think they're only like $20/day or so.

EDIT: 646 miles for me and the route would take me pretty close to The Dragon.......hmmm....might have to extend this trip for a couple of extra days....

Luckily for you (and many of the rest of us) there are a few here with alot of "clue" to help out.

Welcome and good luck, both with the bike and next season.

That's good to hear. Nice to know it does work before spending the money on it. Did you have to be really cautious to avoid scratching the rim up, or is that fairly easy to avoid doing? Yeah, it does work and IMO better than paying the outrageous amount that most places want just for mounting, even...

I've used the HF tire changer and its not all the difficult. Friend spent about an hour walking me through the process while doing it, but now that I know what I'm doing it could probably be done in about 20 minutes, maybe less. It does take a little elbow grease to get things done since it's not mo...

It's to fool enemy radar!

It really does look like an oversized 250 though, I kinda like it.

now to decide which color i want... Dealer had a carbon fiber one there when I bought mine, it looked sweet but couldn't justify the extra cost considering I bought it with the intention of just beating the heck out of it. (.22 ammo is cheap and we go through ALOT of it). Same idea with the nickel....

I bought one in the spring, not sure if I posted anything about it here or not. In any case, I bought the longer 5" because I intended to only target shoot with it from the start, I can't say how much difference, if any, there is to the sight picture to the 3". My dealer quoted me around $150 for th...

I have only talked with him once about this, but he was really enthusiastic about the idea, as he's the one that brought it up. :banana Please continue discussing..... :D Perhaps it might help the discussion if we at least had a baseline of what this "other user" had in mind? Road America would be a little more centrally located between east and west than what Atlanta would be. Almost as far either way for me, but maybe helpful for all the west coasters..... A lunch ride would be awesome though...add a bunch of Fizzers to those YZFs and you'd have a serious kodak moment....

Sponsored how? Would this coincide with an AMA event?

I'm interested regardless, would love to make a serious road trip on the 750 after getting things sorted.
