Remember to use Exup rods... Exup pistons have a different diameter piston pin compared to Genesis. Thats what has me in this mess in the first place, someone before me used Exup rods in this genesis motor with 1040 pistons. Anyways I bought a used rough FZR and used that stock engine to get my FZ ...

Back in the late 80`s they did make a 1040 kit for Genesis motor but discontinued it, I know because I`m old and was there, lol. Oh well bottom line is that I have a genesis block bored to 1040 with brand new 1040 pistons that I have to use so I`ll have to bore another block or resleeve the broken c...

Genesis vs Exup blocks??
Does anyone know what if there's any differences (other than the bore)between the Genesis and Exup blocks?? Long story short I have an 88 Genesis engine running at least the rods (19mm pin) from an 89 or later engine. It has a 1040 kit which I have a broken sleeve in the block. Whats the best option...

I run my 88FZR1000 motor in the 750 chassis with KN individual filters and the stage 3 jet kit with a Kerker ceramic coated pipe. Lazy at 2-3k but works flawlessy above that. I use the 136 mains and rest of what the kit has. Here's the kit specs. If your's is a different year the specs are also avai...

Well guys I'd have bet the farm that it was the cap after reading your replies. I put a new 1.1 (16psi) cap on, topped up the coolant and headed out, constantly stopping and looking for coolant and after 50 or so miles, bang, pouring out like a tap, so nursing it home from there I get home and it's ...

Pushing out anti-freeze! Any other Suggestions? Not the CAP
Came back from a ride last night and noticed a trail of liquid leading in the driveway and into the garage. Seems the bike pushed out enough Anti-Freeze into the catch tank to overflow out the tube into the path of my rear tire. Good thing I was driving like a pussy on the way home. It wasn't over f...
