Re: Building another FZ17

when they went to the 1st gen R1 in 98, they really changed the entire machine, so while there are things that stay the same from years 89-95, even 96, 97, when the R1 came, everything changed and the R7 was pretty much a race machine only with very few machines ever reaching the streets. While we c...

Re: Building another FZ17

I think they are interchangeable but as far as stock lengths, sorry, I cannot remember. I thought there might have been a 10mm difference, height changes and handling made customizable by use of linkage of course. Sorry I'm not more definitive than that.

Re: STOLEN Parts!!!

Don't think I'll be doing insurance to be honest, can someone please tell me why we even have insurance??? Total value of theft is likely over $5K by now, keep finding more and more hand tools, or NOT finding more precisely. Paid more than $30K to insurance companies over the last 10 years, had two ...

Re: STOLEN Parts!!!

Yes there's a craigslist in Canada, although, it gets used drastically differently compared to which province you're in. And yes the tools are easily replaced, the wiseco pistons probably easily replaced, honestly, the carillo rods are thing I'm most concerned with as you only see a set come up for ...

STOLEN Parts!!!

Hello guys, Unfortunately, as my subject suggests, a lower life form broke into my garage and made off with all of my cordless powertools, torgue wrenches, high end car audio decks, but worse was the following list: Carillo connecting rods Wiseco 1070 kit, weight matched cylinder block for the same ...

Re: Rolled back into an old hobby.

Funny you should mention deer rifle, cause that's what I think I'd like. Figure I want to go hunting, although, I'm not certain the costs would be any better than just buying a side of beef. Of course, the game would be far more natural, better for you, and you'd have that satisfaction, but, the bs ...

Re: Rolled back into an old hobby.

Politics in this country are so corrupt its sad when a looney real estate mogul is considered the best choice for President. Uhvey! Don't even get me started on how badly corrupt the Federal Food and Drug Admin is, Insurance, Municipalities, Hell the politics even within my kid's "Christian" School...

Re: Rolled back into an old hobby.

Thanks for the debrief on the guns by the way Rob, I was thinking more about the ways in which they fire as I thought some even had an internal piston that fires much the same way an ICE does, no, yeah? The article I skimmed seemed to suggest far more complexity than a simple firing pin meets rim or...

Re: Rolled back into an old hobby.

Just wish the media would quit plastering the idiot(s) faces and names all over when some nutcase goes bonkers. Instead of using the murders name, just refer to them as scumbag or the like. Don't give them the recognition. I agree wholeheartedly, the minute our world begins to understand that the m...

Re: Rolled back into an old hobby.

COOL Rob! I was just at a Father/Son camp few weeks ago and all the little guys get to shoot 22's on the range, bows, and a 12gauge(low recoil rounds). Read a bit of on article about AR15's, would you mind 'xplainin' about them a bit as I'm really intrigued, do they just shoot pellets or something l...

I'd re-seat Ralph if your doing a bunch of valve work, although, the availability of doing so is probably not so much nowadays. I'm going to when I do my own.

Re: EXUP Worldwide newbie - old brotherhood member

Hey Yamaman, Yes the bimota headers should be the same fitting for exhaust as they didn't do any head changes that I know of. Just to let you know, I too had the option of just buying something new and just moving on( well I guess we all do right but so very few of us choose to stay married to our b...

Still reckon you'd get your money back eventually, even if you charged $20-50 a crack instead of the regular hundreds for a dyno charge.

Sure would be cool, and me thinks it wouldn't be very difficult to actually build the non-computer(y) parts.

I'm sure you could end up getting your money back as well by fair charges to the curious public.
