Front wheel speedo drive
Had an Issue with the speedo failing on the 95 about a month ago. Found that the speedo drive clutch had failed (drive dogs ears broken). Checked the rest of the drive out and averything appeared to be working propperly. Thought maybe a mis-alignment when I had ripped down and re-assembled the front...

Re: plugging tyres
There is a combo plug/patch that can be installed by a dealer tha is considered safe. If it's the front tire, spend the money and replace it. I've ridden with a plugged rear tire on the street but would never think about using it at the track. There is enough to think about at the track without havi...

Re: cornering tips needed from experienced riders !
From what I am hearing it sounds like the bikes set up is off.

Like I told John at the track day, "ride your own ride" if you find yourself pushing to keep up, then your pushing to hard and are looking to get hurt. Next get the bike to some one that can do the suspension set-up for you. I to...

GMD Computrack Boston / Peter Kates
Had the suspension done by Peter over the winter. Full Racetech front and rebuild and a Penske rear shock. Also had the frame measured.

Finally, starting to get some milage on the bike since the work was done. All I can say is he completely transformed the bike. It feels much more planted and...

RE:Shifting with no clutch?
Shifting with no clutch is no problem as long as your not doing it while on the throttle. If you are unloading the tranny and then kicking the shifter and then getting back on the gas thats OK. Just don't do it to down shift....
Jim

95 FZR1000

Even with the never dull you'll find that the older stuff usually works better. But when they have to reformulate it to make it more envromental that it doesn't work quite as well. Had an old can of it and it work much better. Used a newer can and had to use a little more elbow grease. Won't give yo...
