Help with paint colours
Righteo then people! I have been having a look throught he gallery, and I have noticed a few bikes all in blue..... I have got hold of a full plastics set for my fzr (all in blue) but unsure of the colour , I need to spray the tank you see
.... its very similar to the ones on gallery, did they do a full blue fzr? (cant see this somehow) or is it easier to take it to a paint shop?

full blue was never done in any of the year, it was always a white or black base with coloured decals I believe.
If you've got full blue it's obviously been painted before and your best bet would be to just drive the machine in to whoever is going to paint it and let them match it up best they can. I think that's what you're asking but not sure, so hope that helps

Yes Yes I know, I said, I'm building a project YZF1070
Basement is done now, 850 finished and gone...
Gotta get the new siding up on the house.
Fixing the FZ1 up, cleaning up garage and then I might even begin

If you take one of the panels into a paint shop they should be able to match up the color for you. Like sickle said, there were no FZR's done in all blue from the factory. The blue on my bike is called deep blue purple metallic. At least that's what the shop said the Yamaha blue was called, so I went with it.
