With as tight as the turns are on the dragon, wouldnt you think they would have a road embargo because of it? DUH!!!! I know how these trucks turn, my dad drives a flatbed and I showed him the pics, he just scratched his head and asked why any trucker in his right mind wouldnt just find an alternate route. That isnt the only road out there. LOL

Well, things are looking a little grim for the gathering. I'm having a difficult time sourcing a loaner bike. At this stage, I'm waiting on my brother to get back to me on a loaner from one of his racing buddies.

Nothing saying that everyone else can't get together and do it. I'm going to be within 200 miles of "The Dragon" July 9th -14th.

Keep us posted.

I'm commited to track days at VIR the 8-10th, but I'm suppose to have Friday the 14th off work and might be able to blitz the 600 miles or so down, do the Dragon and neighboring roads on Saturday, then blitz back on Sunday.

Only thing is it's two "motorcycle weekends" in a row (with my daughter's college orientation squeezed in between on the 11th-12th) and just one day in the office all week during our busy season. I'm not sure how my two bosses, home and office, are going to react.

Sure sounds like fun though.

Well, as it is, I'm going to be bikeless while I'm down there. Nothing panned out with my brother and his friends.

Soooo.... if anyone makes it down, be safe and have fun!!!
