it looks as though i might be staying with the triple tuning fork for a little longer..............

The deal with the gissxer didn't materialise, so sent the fizzer into the shop for a long overdue tune, valve clearence check, and a new set of boots (Pilot Powers).

I'll keep my powder dry for another day, and in 12 mths time have a bit more $$$$ in the pocket to have a crack at something else.

recent events however may be more devestating to my riding, a re-occurance of a nerve impingment problem in my neck required a scan that reveiled further disc damage above an already fused C6-7 vertebrae. riding my motorbike is not entirley to blame, but puting a helmet on your head and being bounced around is defenitly not helping.........stay tuned

Are we going to have to rename the board to the GIMPY-hood? :poke

Bummer to hear about that Stan. Especially as I'm dealing with some mid/lower back issues as well.
There are some who call me........Tim?

Gidday stan,

Consider a set of superbike bars on the FZR, they will alleviate the upward looking stance which clip-ons create and may help settle things down, can't have the aussie contingent off the road - can we :)

Watch it dude, your just about sounding like you'll need a nice comfortable Goldwing soon :poke :) :)

All joking aside, one of the main reasons I put superbike bars on the SV is that it's just too hard on the ol' body to ride on the street with clip ons these days, and as much as I hate to admit it - at 48 I need to be comfortable to enjoy the ride  , mind you, the FZR is head down - ass up; but at 230kph plus, the clipons that don't seem to be a problem...

Cheers
