Yea...but it was very rare vintage Yamaha factory race kit air....
Problem was, he wasn't sure it was the right part number. Seems the last dash number was a little different. :poke

damn, you guys are cruel...it's a good thing i love all you exup freaks.

ugh, you guys have no idea. i feel like this damn project is never gonna get done. between dealing with horrible vendors, finding time to make it back and forth to cleveland (my mom's having some health problems now) while job hunting is starting to wear very thin.

if i have to, i'll push the damn thing to where the meet-up is!

nothing wrong with the bike other than it's owner is neglecting it. the bike is getting the full upgrade treatment!

thanks for the sentiment regarding my mom. the biggest worry lately is more about the costs of the treatment. she's a lower-working class girl with no health insurance in this lovely country of ours. the hospital is more worried about getting money out of her pocketbook than tumors out of her body.

You didn't try riding around with that reverse-mirror-flippy-film did you? That'll cause some problems if you're not used to it :poke
Hope your mom's health improves

It will be a blast. I just need to know the date far enough in advance to schedule my vacation. Since I am in the middle of the states as such, it should be a fairly equal ride wherever it is at.

Not to come off like an a$$, but is there really anything all that special about a WERA event (except maybe lower cost of admission)? AMA seems like it would be a much bigger event with more to see, not to mention give folks an extra two months to make plans once something is finalized.

I'm prolly in either way though. I hate people but I love gatherings. :banana

Me? I'd rather hit the AMA Event in Aug. That way I can be home for my brothers b'day, but either works for me.

Either way, I see it panning out like this for me:

Friday a ride in the N. GA. hills.
Sat & Sun at Road Atlanta.
Monday off to Deals Gap.
Tuesday- Sat, I'm at the lake with 3 boats [1 comp Ski, seats 8 (Malibu), 1, Combo Bass & Ski seats 4 (Cajun), and 1 Party Barge (Floatboat Pontoon) that holds/seats 16)]

My mom says come on by and bring your friends, either weeken works for her....

I'll likely hit the Gap (and surrounding areas) on one or both sides of the weekend as well. I've been wanting to get down there for a couple of years now and just haven't made it, no excuse when I'll be driving within a couple of miles of the place. A friend just moved to Charlotte a couple of months ago as well.

Road Atlanta - WERA Grand National Finals Oct. 11-14
Barber Motorsports Park - 3nd Annual Barber Vintage Festival - Oct 19-21

And I think Tim can tell you about the weather in this area in October. Gorgeous.

I talked to Tim on the phone a bit ago and voiced my vote for Barber....
That place is just awesome. Out standing collection of bikes and not a bad track either. As Silver sez...the weather should be fair as well
