45 Best - Used Sportbikes

The 45 best used sport motorbikes around based on the "Ride" survey of 2001 . . . at least in South Africa. See if your bike is on the list.
For a motorbike to qualify as a sport bike the following general guidelines were used.
• The motorcycle is less than 200kg with average being 190kg
• The engine capacity is less than 1000cc
• The power rating is usually more than 100bhp with the average being 120bhp
• The owners gave the motorcycle a low comfort score when having to cover more than 200km
• Sport bikes have a wheelbase length of between 135 and 145cm
• The motorbike has an aerodynamic fairing with a distinctive racing look
• The rider position is more crouched with the wrists almost level with the rest of the body
The motorcycles that received the best rating by its owners are at the top with the poorer ratings at the end. Accolades should be given to those older bikes that still make it into this exclusive list.
The "Ratio" column gives a simple way of comparing the power to weight ratio of each bike.
