I'm a Boilermaker now

Post by orionburn »

Got my email the other day confirming that I was accepeted into Purdue:

Yes, I have received everything and your application was mailed to Admissions in West Lafayette. I just checked the system and you were admitted for Summer 2006 into MET on 2-6-2006. You should be receiving a letter from Admissions within a month letting you know you've been admitted. Once we are officially notifed here by West Lafayette we will send you a letter from the South Bend site.

Take my placement exam on the 25th, so have to keep my ass in gear and keep refreshing on my math before I take it. Funny how much you forget yet how quickly it comes back, even with being out of high school for 12 years now. Planning on retaking some algebra classes this summer then actually get on track for my degree towards engineering starting this fall.

Going to be a long road since I'll only be able to take 3 classes at most a semester with working full time, but glad I'm finally done talking about going to school and actually GOING to school.

Purdue has never been my favorite college (gotta support Notre Dame since I live in South Bend), but it's a solid school with good programs. At least I know the money will be well spent compared to some of the other colleges around here.

I'm going to turn 30 about a week or two before my first class...lol. Just call me Lando Griffin :banana

Perdue has a pretty good Engineering school. At least they did when I went to school. You know, about thirty years before dinosaurs

Congrats on getting into school. Purdue seems like a pretty decent ME school from what I've heard. You should have come to University of Illinois though :poke :D

Congrats!

When you get there go on down to Harry's (Chocolate Shop) and have a fine ale. Try a Baltimore Zoo if you dare. My record is 4/hr, could hardly walk after. Try La Bamba (I think) -- burritos as big as your head!

Take some Avaition classes as well they'll go well with your MET degree. If you want to get into composites go see Dr. Ray Thompson over at the airport.

HAve fun! It's worth it!

Just wanted to apologize for not being around much lately. Started my first class last week so things have been a bit crazy over the past month. Getting used the new routine, and well, having homework for the first time in 12 years. First paper is due tonight so I should find out how I did tomorrow.

F's stand for fantastic right? :poke
