Just joined so hello to everyone in the EXUP.
I'm just about to buy a '99' Ace for the use of touring Europe, i did it last year on a Bandit 6,loved it so want to do it in a bit more style and pace, apart from the normal things to check are there any areas that need special attention that you've found from experiance.
Hopefully get to meet some of you at shows, meets,ect.
Any advice much appreciated .

Welcome DJ. Hope you have a great tour of Europe on the Ace. Check the usual and get all the maintenance updated based on the bike's mileage. That should do it.
(depending on the bike's mileage and condition ... checking the usual and getting all the maintenance updated can be a long list

i've said it before, this is one of the best forums i have ever spent time on, motorcycle or not.
we have a great group of members!
