well, 8 months after getting the bike...i have an airbox! bye bye pods!

I had to buy new boots for the one I got for 100 bucks, so more like 130 bucks for this puppy. the other ones were obviously not the same and prolly for a 750. stupid wrecked didnt know the different I guess.

all I can is WOW!

I popped down from the 142.5's back to my dynojet stage 1 jets and man I about dropped her twice leqving stoplights in the rain. its completely different!

def fels better than before, I am sure the 520 conversion helps a little, my old chain/sprokets were really dogged out.

really looking forward to the 50 mile ride I have after work tonight!

Gidday,

Yeah, I'ver heard that the FZR's don't run at all well without and airbox, in fact I still have the std airbox & K&N on my race bike for that reason.

Have a good time on the ride and let us know how it went.

Cheers

Sweet!!

Did you change the gearing with the 520 conversion? When I did mine I did the typical drop/up and changed the bike drastically (better). But then my 230+lb fat ass needed the mechanical advantage from the gearing lol...

Glad to hear it's running better. I'm going for a scoot after work myself. :)

On my very much missed '89 FZR1k, I had pods, FP stage 3 jet kit, and D&D S/O. It ran totally fine and gained a huge amount of power over stock! Just my .02
