hi people, im sorry i have to be the bearer of bad news but i just thought id let everyone know that ive had some alarming news today about a fallen comrade
ive been asked to post this in here by his wife who does not have access to his passwords etc
sandman77 was in an accident today and as a result he has died,
he was riding his bike to work and a car 'attempted' to pull out in front of him,
sandman77 (wayne) has anticipated the manouver and hit the brakes, his rear wheel locked and threw him off.
i would just like to add that im sorry for your loss colette and my thoughts are with you now and if there is anything i can do to help with anything just say the word,
i know he was relaitvely new on here but all the people who were on fzr1000 will have known him pretty well,
there will be some sort of remembrance gathering coming up some time in the future (uk) and i will do my best to keep everyone updated on how things are going
sandy will also be putting a similat post up on exup1000 later on today
cya soon

I'm really sorry to hear about this. I heard about this yesterday as its only about 10 miles from where I live. My injury pales into insignificence alongside this. Please pass on my condolences.

I had the good fortune to chat with "Sandman" several times on the FZr site,
We have children similar ages, and chatted about how much we just loved puting on a helmet and getting out on the bike, even if it was the commute to work
I've never met Wayne, or even spoken to him, but the passing of a young man with so much to give leaves me hollow
Condolences to his family, you are in my thoughts

Ive been following the response of this on every forum it has been posted. I havent replied yet as I myself did not know Sandman and needed the right time to make a reply so Id feel happy about it. I now feel that time is now. Though I did not know him, It hits me hard that another fellow biker has passed over and I am touched by the way that time and time again the biking community come togehter with an honor and respect for fellow bikers that is with out doubt the strongest allegiance I have known. Im sure Snadman is still building bikes and riding them. I wish you the all the strength you need at this time Sandmans Girl, I think we all do.

I also knew him from the other site. Never met him as we're from different parts of the world. But I have known him for a couple of years. What a great guy!
