I was just curious, what are the lightest sport bikes? What are these 250 GP bikes? What type of 2stoke motor is in it? I race a 250 mx bike, is it the same deal?
Also have any of you seen the pic in the latest AMA mag of a Honda CRF chassis layed out and done up like a racing sport bike. Looks really cool!
Anyone have any links to bikes of bikes that I am talking about?

i would say the "lightest" sportbike is a real race-ready pocket bike from the likes of blata or polini.

next up would be one of the 125 two stroke gp bikes. then the 250's.

not sure what engine configuration most of the two stroke 250 gp teams are running these days, but they are little a bit different from a single cylinder mx bike. the 500's were the real brutes.

as for the bike you mention, i think i caught that on an episode of biker build off. they ran both bikes on the salt flats at the end of the show. it was pretty slick.
