found a spot of cord showing through yesterday in just one tiny spot

I can get replacements of teh same tire from new enough for 230

like em good enough, seem to last well, as I put 4k on them and that was maybe half their lifespan


anyone have recommendations though?

I'm getting ready to buy a new pair as well. I ride throughout the winter and am more of a commuter than canyon carver. To that end I'm probably going to try out the Pirelli Diablo Strada's or the Bridgestone BT021's. The Contri Road Attacks are also quite good for cold and wet weather riding though the rubber is pretty soft and I probably wouldn't ride them here in the hot Tennessee summers. That said I do get about 8,K on the rear and upwards of 10,K on the front during the fall/winter riding.

what tires do you currently have silver?

You won't believe this but .... A Tomahawk on the rear ... and ..... a ..... Pirelli Supercorsa Pro on the front ! Very long story but I can now say two things :

1) If you have the money and really want a tire that can take everything you can throw and more, get the Supercorsa Pro. Absolutely awesome handling with the best line holding ability I've ever tried. I have some sweepers during my daily commute that are posted at 35 that are just so much fun now.


2) If you need a harder rubber tire for general riding/commuting in hot, dry conditions get the Tomahawk. Probably the most durable tire I've ever owned. I've got 8,K on it and it's just starting to show some wear even though I rode it throughout one of the hottest summers on record here in Tennessee. One note here. This tire is very hard and as such I don't recommend it for cool or inclimate weather. I was riding onto the I24 onramp in Murfreesboror one cool wet morning and blipped the throttle a little too much and broke traction. Not bad but it woke me up.
