two feet of snow? Wow. we got a couple of inches a few weeks back and the country ground to a halt. Most folk over here seem to think that the best way to drive in snow is to put your foot flat to the floor. Maybe they think the rev limiter will cause the snow to melt. lol.
Have fun.

WOW!

That is a serious snowfall. I've not seen anything close to that for about 30 years!!!. This was what we got a few weks back. It was about 2 inches deep and it was enough to close most the schools in the town for the day. The local paper was full of storys about people being unable to get to work. Its pretty pathetic really as most people round here probably work within about 5 miles of where they work. The problem isn't the snow. Its just that people can't drive in it. They just can't fathom out why their cars dont move even though they are stepping on the gas pedal.

The sled is for backcountry skiing, not for this crap we have now.

Yes, well, I've heard the song "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas" over the years, but to be honest - I think I prefer the 25C were having today, and we NEVER get snow here in Auckland NZ.
Must admit that it does look good in a postcard kind of way...

Funny thing today. While I was at work today, a lady from the apt complex behind me was waling her little dog. I knew that she played fetch with the dog, so I asked if she had tried a snowball. She said no, so I balled one up, got the dogs attention and threw the snowball. The little dog went bananas when I thew it, kicking up snow trying to get traction. He took off and got to with in 2 feet when and where the snowball landed. Poor little guy came to a sliding halt, again kicking up snow. But the look of that dog trying to find that snowball was just tooooooooooo much. I had to got back to work laughing so hard I had tears....

FZRDude have you had any luck finding a snowmobile? I looked on the for sale ads at work and there was not a one, I figure everyone is using theirs to get around the side roads that are not and probably will not get plowed for awhile. Hope you find one as this is the best time to have one. If not a snowmobile you can always try to find a cheap quad and put skies under the front tires, that would be a blast to try. Good luck and stay warm. More snow tomorrow. Man I really hate the snow. Looks pretty but Growing up in it I would rather drive to it than in it.

No, I haven't been looking really hard either. With the current conditions, I'll just wait this the first of the year.
I see the snow as a little hassle rather than an inconvience. My little $100 Toyota 4x2 is getting me around just fine.
Oh, and going to the slopes on Sunday..... woot!
