g'day all,whats the best way of scrubbing in a tyre? apart from it in while riding that is....Do any of you guys do it manually,if it is possible that is

Just ride it gentle for a bit, no big accelerations whilst cranked overat first
I enjoy riding up around Ballarat, next time i'm heading up that way will give you a call, perhaps a counterlunch in Dayelsford??

Same here, take it easy for a while and you'll be fine.
Personally I don't like the idea of putting chemicals on tyres inplace of normal scubbing proceedure.

I usually rub the wheel down with brake cleaner on a rag to get the manufacturer coat off before I mount the wheel. Don't know if it works, but it does for me.

weather and mileage(at a somewhat careful pace), really the only things to break it in, in my opinion

I was thinking the same thing.
A lot of dudes from back home used to do this to soften the rear tire a little before removal and replacement.

realisticly wy bother the amount of time it would take, it would be just as easy to get on and ride the thing easy for a few ks. but you asked you get

In warm conditions on dry roads I wouldn't even think or worry about it. Just go.
Tyres are scrubbed in on the warm-up lap racing, at good speed.
You're more likely to get yourself in trouble worrying about it and tensing up as you enter a corner because you feel something is not working for you, when in fact it probably is.
Take care on any tyre in the wet, after rain, if your not confident of the road ahead or the people around you. Riding only needs to be as safe as you want to make it for yourself.
