Who's in for another EXUP gathering at the Indy GP?

The Indy rep called me recently asking if I was interested in doing another group buy on tickets for the Indy GP race. For now I told him sure and put us down again. Don't have any solid details to share at this point. I think it will be similar to last year where you get a parking permit for your bike, coupons, etc. Really hoping that they do pit passes this year.

I know this is a ways off, but for those thinking of attending again (or for the first time) please keep this mind if you'd like to go. The group buy is for 20 tickets, but if we fall short of that mark you still get your ticket. Last year they still threw in all the perks even though we only ended up buying 10 or 12 tickets. More than likely they'll do it again this time around. Money wouldn't be due until a month before the race.

Yeah...we had an awning. It's not our fault those 80mph winds made the rain get through that 5 foot opening 60 feet behind us :poke

In all seriousness it's no problem if you want to get tickets for something other than general admission. Since I got the call from the guy I figured I'd throw it out there for anybody interested.

Booked our room today. Killer deal going on at a Radisson on the north side of town (near where we stayed last year). They have a deal where you get Friday night free if you stay Saturday night as well. It will look like you are getting billed both nights but you won't. You can book now and still cancel your stay up til a day or two before the weekend. Room rate is only $90 a night. Normally it's closer to $150 and this is a race weekend to boot. I think that since they are on the north side of town and a bit farther from the track they're trying to get people to stay.

Here's the linky: http://www.radisson.com/hotels/indynort/services

And wow...1 yes and 1 maybe. Ya'll suck. :hissy :poke

:rofl

The race is August 30th this year. They moved it up a week or two compared to last year. General admission tickets cover all 3 days. I need to email the rep back just to touch base with him. I have no idea if they are going to offer pit passes this year or not. Hopefully they do cause I was bummed they didn't offer it up last year.
