hi i am a new member and i have problem with my bike that no one can shed any light on,every time i put the indicators on the headlight fuse blows but it only happens when the headlight is switched on and it also cuts the engine out <br> someone help please <p></p><i></i>

Madman...did you see my response to your original post? Just wondering if you had any luck with the wiring yet. You could also try checking the turn signal relay. The relay will be just forward of the battery under the tank (on 750s & 1000s). On 600s is should be towards the left rear of the bike. The relay on our bikes in tied into some other components. If the relay is unhooked the bike won't start.<br><br>One other thing, you said that this only happens when the headlight is switched on. On my bike the lights are on all the time. Is your bike wired up to actually switch the lights on and off? i have got a fzr1000 genesis (8<!--EZCODE EMOTICON START 8) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/glasses.gif ALT="8)"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> the headlights are the switched type but all the switches have been replaced because the ones on the bike when i got it were cbr600 switches with a 600loom which has now been replaced with a new fzr1000 one <p></p><i></i>

I would verify that the wire loom which has the dozen or so wires leading from the front to the rear does not have any melted insulation from the wires. As stated previously...that could cause a short when things touch. Other than that the best method would involve a ohm meter to see where the fault lies. <p></p><i></i>

the pass switch was causing the indicator fault one of the wires was loose and touching the negative <br>thanks to the people that tried to help out <p></p><i></i>
